Apply here: HOURS & LOCATION: - Availability required between 2:30pm-6pm on school days or a Saturday morning (min 3 hours per week) - Classes are typically held at schools/ community centers/partner stores in your community RESPONSIBILITIES: - Organize weekly sessions from venue, to supplies, to boys and parents and mantors - Ensure necessary weekly information is prepared - Send weekly emails to parents to update them about the program - Manage and Hire mantors (volunteer mentors) and collect weekly feedback - Providing mentorship and guidance to improve leadership performance - Establish and maintain a safe environment in which boys can discuss, have fun and build their confidence - Manage groups of up to 15 boys - Set up room (mats, posters), take attendance, monitor behaviours - Prepare and Trail Mantors, volunteer mentors - Show leadership skills in building community, marketing, - Be punctual - Communicate effectively with boys, mantors, parents, and community partners - Providing mentorship and guidance to improve leadership performance REQUIREMENTS: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - An overwhelmingly positive attitude - Must have a passion for community building *Experience and a passion for working with boys ages 5-12 - Group dynamic management skills vital - Excellent punctuality, organization skills and work ethic - Minimum of 19 yrs old - hold a current BC criminal record check - Enjoy running, physical activity and have goals - Comfortable and Confident in your own body, personality, mental health and uniqueness - Can handle difficult situations with - Basic computer skills Additional DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - Outstanding administration and organizational skills - Active on social media considered an asset - Experience working in marketing will be considered asset - Experience acting as a mentor, coach, or other role related to empowering youth will be considered an asset To apply: Please send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] Attn: Ashley Wiles with subject: Sole4Boys Coach Job Type: Contract

Empower boys in your community! So what is a SoleCoach? We're looking for enthusiastic and energetic SoleBoys Coaches who are incredibly organized, motivated, who have a great interest and ability in physical activity (running) and teaching boys about empathy, values and why being a boy is awesome. Our Programs are designed to empower boys ages 8-12 through mentorship,discussions and physical activity! Some coaches have elementary classroom teaching experience, or a passion of working with children. Our coaches will be responsible for managing location specific programs, running the curriculum and inspiring their community. This position is for someone who has a passion for empowering young people, and who will go the extra mile to make sure they feel special. This is a part time position.
